Exploring York - Haxby

The village is home to Ralph Butterfield Primary School, located on Station Road. In addition, Joseph Rowntree School is a comprehensive secondary school which also has a sixth form, suitable for students aged 11 – 18 years located just outside of Haxby in New Earswick.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside and green spaces, Haxby offers residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. The village itself has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with a variety of local shops, pubs, and restaurants providing all the necessities within walking distance. Curious Coffee is a favourite of ours when we are in Haxby and well worth a visit!

Regular bus services provide connections to York city centre, making it convenient for commuters and shoppers. The nearby A1237 ring road allows for easy access to major routes, making travel to other parts of the country accessible by car.
